The museum was opened in 1973. Over the decades, it has evolved into a modern space where the history of metallurgy intertwines with human destinies and the region's archaeological discoveries. Key Features: Industrial Focus: A significant part of the exhibition is dedicated to the construction of the "Kazakhstan Magnitka" and the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant. Interactivity: The museum actively utilizes modern formats, ranging from artistic installations to multimedia exhibitions. Collections: The museum's funds house over 20,000 exhibits. "Exhibit in Your Hands": The museum frequently organizes interactive sessions where visitors can literally touch history. Special Projects: Unique exhibitions are held regularly, focusing on Soviet lifestyle, vintage fashion, or contemporary art by local artists. Atmosphere: The museum has a very "human" feel. It tells stories not just about tons of steel, but about how the first builders lived in tents and how families were formed in the young city.
