Shunak is a unique impact crater (astrobleme) located in the vast steppes of Central Kazakhstan. It is a must-visit destination for adventure seekers and those interested in geology and space history. Origin: Formed by a massive meteorite impact approximately 12 to 45 million years ago. Dimensions: The crater has a nearly perfect circular shape with a diameter of about 3 km and a depth of up to 400 meters (from the rim to the base). Landscape: It is surrounded by a ring-shaped rocky ridge rising 50–80 meters above the plain, creating a spectacular "natural stadium" effect.
