On October 7–8, a large-scale ecological volunteer campaign was held in the Karkaralinsk district, uniting caring residents and enthusiasts dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of their native region.
The main objective of this eco-initiative was to save a unique sphagnum bog. This is not just a wetland area, but an ancient and extremely fragile ecosystem that urgently needs protection and care.
Volunteers worked on key tasks to preserve the natural complex:
Cleaned the riverbed of the Malaya Karkaralinka to restore the natural water balance.
Conducted a large-scale cleanup of the area to remove waste.
Performed essential conservation and environmental protection works.
Comfortable accommodation and meals for the participants were provided by the "Orman" guest house, creating wonderful conditions for the volunteers to rest after their hard work.
The organizers emphasize that the most valuable part of such initiatives is the people. The campaign brought together individuals who took time out of their schedules to help nature: caring people, tour operators, representatives of the "Visit Karaganda" tourist information center, the Tourism Department, public organizations, and the youth of the Karkaralinsk district. Through joint efforts, they took a vital step toward protecting this unique natural treasure.
