Tourism Potential of the Karaganda Region Presented at the International Forum “SAYAKHAT 2026”
As part of the international forum “SAYAKHAT 2026 | Kazakhstan Travel Forum” in Astana, the Karaganda Region presented its natural, historical and cultural, and health and wellness tourism destinations. Guests learned about Lake Balkhash, Karkaraly, Bektau-Ata, Buiratau and other tourist attractions.
In Astana, as part of the international tourism forum “SAYAKHAT 2026 | Kazakhstan Travel Forum”, a presentation of the tourism potential of the Karaganda Region was held.
During the event, the region presented its opportunities in nature-based, historical and cultural, ecological, and health and wellness tourism. At the exhibition area, forum guests received information about tourist attractions, travel routes, and recreational destinations in the Karaganda Region.
Particular attention was paid to the region’s key tourism destinations. Visitors were introduced to Lake Balkhash, Karkaraly, Bektau-Ata, Buiratau National Park, and other natural and cultural attractions. Each of these tourism clusters has its own distinctive features and offers opportunities for recreation, travel, and discovering the region’s natural and historical and cultural heritage.
The Karaganda Region was also represented at the event by the Balkhash health and wellness complex. The complex presented the region’s opportunities for year-round health, wellness, and recreational tourism focused on rest, recovery, and well-being.
As part of the exhibition, visitors were provided with information materials about the region’s tourism destinations, accommodation options, and recreational opportunities. Participants also discussed prospects for further development of the tourism industry, promotion of regional tourism products, and attracting new visitors to the region.
The international forum “SAYAKHAT 2026 | Kazakhstan Travel Forum” served as a platform for presenting the tourism opportunities of Kazakhstan’s regions, exchanging experience, and establishing new professional contacts among representatives of the tourism industry.
